San Antonio, Texas – October 12th, 2026 – Cedric D. Fisher & Company Publishers (CDFCO) announces the release of Mystery in Brightcloud, the debut novel by San Antonio author Lola M. Fisher. The 226-page mystery is available now in hardcover, paperback, and Kindle editions.
Savannah Stevens spent eight years auditing books for Fortune 500 companies before she came home and opened her own firm in Brightcloud, Texas. When her accountant is murdered after a meeting he was warned to tell no one about, the habit that made her a good auditor is the only thing that will get her to the truth.
The book is a clean read, with faith, family, and long friendship carrying as much weight as the crime.
“I spent most of my career looking for the number that didn’t belong,” said Fisher, a U.S. Air Force veteran and Grambling State University graduate with a background in auditing, accounting, and education. “Find it, and you find out what really happened. It took me a while to realize I had been writing mysteries the whole time.”
“A riveting thriller and a true page-turner from beginning to end,” said Monica Allison-Ceruti, an attorney and retired senior executive. “If you enjoy murder mysteries with well-developed characters, suspense, and an ending that keeps you guessing, Mystery in Brightcloud is a book you will not want to miss.”
